Professor Steven Faux was the establishing Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2000 and is the current director of Pain Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He is a Conjoint Professor of Medicine at the University of NSW and the University of Notre Dame. Professor Faux has established the first and longest continuous telehealth pain management service in Australia in 2008, has published research into online pain management tools and has completed the first Australian data linkage study in traumatic brain injury and in stroke rehabilitation. He is the co-lead of one of Australia’s first long COVID clinics and is the President elect of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has undertaken research on virtual reality in stroke rehabilitation and pain management and has studied the use of video recognition sensors (smart glasses) in the detection of activities of daily living.
Simon Fuk-Tan Tang, MD, is currently the vice superintendent of Lotung Poh-AI Hospital. He have been program director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. For 10 years, he had been the chairman of the department, and a full-time professor at Chang Gung University. He is currently the honorary president of the Taiwan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Yuan Shuai is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Gu Lian. He formerly worked at Morgan Stanley Asia Private Equity, where he was primarily responsible for evaluating, executing, and managing post-investment projects in the Asian healthcare industry. He participated in and led major hospital mergers and acquisitions, including the privatization of public hospitals and the acquisition and construction of rehabilitation hospitals. Prior to this, Mr. Yuan worked at Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, where he completed numerous overseas M&A transactions involving Chinese companies. Mr. Yuan also serves as a member of the Chenghua District Political Consultative Conference in Chengdu City and has been recognized as one of the "Top 10 New Economic Leaders in Sichuan in 2017" and selected for the "Forbes China 30 Under 30" list in 2019. He graduated from Yale University in the United States and is currently pursuing a joint doctoral program in Healthcare Management from Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins University.
