President of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM).

Professor in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the Department of Mental and Physical Health and Preventive Medicine at University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” (Napoli) in Italy where she is President of the School of Speech and Language Therapy, and Chair of the PhD Program in Public Administration and Innovation for Disability and Social Inclusion.

Prof. Francesca is one of the Promoters of the Cochrane Rehabilitation Field, and the one of the Editors for the Cochrane Rehabilitation ebook.

Her main field of research is the rehabilitation of age-related musculoskeletal conditions, such as osteoporosis.

Dr. Rey Matias had his BS Physical Therapy at University of Santo Tomas College of Rehabilitation Sciences ( then Institute of Physical Therapy) and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He was the Chairman of the Professional Regulation Commission - Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy from 2007-2013.

Dr. Rey Matias had his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of the Philippines- Philippine General Hospital. He is currently the Chairman and Associate Professor of the St Luke’s College of Medicine - Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and a Clinical Associate Professor of the University of the Philippines- College of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the Philippine Board of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Philippine Board of Pain Medicine, Fellow of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Society of the Philippines and a Fellow of the Philippine College of Geriatric Medicine. He finished his Masteral degree in Human Movement Sciences from the University of the Philippines.

Prof. Li is the First President of Rehabilitation Medicine School and Director of Rehabilitation Medicine center of Jiangsu Province Hospital. Prof. Li obtained his master’s degree in sports medicine from Nanjing Medical University in 1983, further studied as fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine in Australia from 1988 to 1992, as Senior Visiting Scholar in Moss Rehab Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Health System, Philadelphia, USA from 2000 to 2001.

Prof. Li used to be the president of International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) from 2014 to 2016, Chairman of Chinese Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from 2014 to 2017.

Professor Steven Faux was the establishing Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2000 and is the current director of Pain Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He is a Conjoint Professor of Medicine at the University of NSW and the University of Notre Dame. Professor Faux has established the first and longest continuous telehealth pain management service in Australia in 2008, has published research into online pain management tools and has completed the first Australian data linkage study in traumatic brain injury and in stroke rehabilitation. He is the co-lead of one of Australia’s first long COVID clinics and is the President elect of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has undertaken research on virtual reality in stroke rehabilitation and pain management and has studied the use of video recognition sensors (smart glasses) in the detection of activities of daily living.

Simon Fuk-Tan Tang, MD, is currently the vice superintendent of Lotung Poh-AI Hospital. He have been program director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. For 10 years, he had been the chairman of the department, and a full-time professor at Chang Gung University. He is currently the honorary president of the Taiwan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

A graduate of the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Tang completed his postdoctoral fellowship in restorative neurology and human neurobiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Tang has written more than 160 published papers. His research interests are orthoses, gait analysis, motor control, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Tang is had been served as vice president of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine; president of the Asia-Oceanian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, president of the International Society for Restorative Neurology; president of the Taiwan Prosthetic and Orthotic Society; president of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics, Chinese Taipei; president of the Taiwan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

He is currently 68 years old, male, born in Tokyo, Japan.

Professor Eiichi Saitoh (MD, PhD) is a certified physiatrist, Supreme advisor of Fujita Academy, Aichi, Japan.

He graduated from Keio University in 1980, and got DMSc (PhD) from Keio University in 1991.

Now he is at the adjunct or visiting professor positions of several universities such as Johns Hopkins University (USA), China Medical University (China), and Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (Japan).

He serves several executive roles in rehabilitation medicine in Japan; Japan Council on Rehabilitation Education, Japanese Society for Neural Repair and Neurorehabilitation, Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation, etc.

He was selected as an international member, National Academy of Medicine (USA, 2020) and a recipient of China High-end Foreign Experts Program (China, 2015). Recently he became the chairperson of the Asian Dysphagia Society (established on January 1, 2023).

He got several awards, such as, Sidney Licht Lectureship Award of ISPRM (Berlin, 2015), Iida Prize of JSPO (Tokyo, 2017), Japan Robot Award of the Government (Tokyo, 2018), Technical Innovations Award of Robotics Society of Japan (Tokyo, 2018), Haim Ring Institutional Award of ISPRM (2021), and Herman J Flax Lifetime Achievement Award of ISPRM (Lisbon, 2022).

He chairs the 13rd World Congress of International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM, Kobe, 2019). Also he chaired as the National representative, the 2nd World Dysphagia Summit (WDS, Nagoya, 2021).

He is interested in dysphagia, robotics, orthosis, motion analysis, locomotion, exercise science, and psychology.

Mr. Yuan Shuai is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Gu Lian. He formerly worked at Morgan Stanley Asia Private Equity, where he was primarily responsible for evaluating, executing, and managing post-investment projects in the Asian healthcare industry. He participated in and led major hospital mergers and acquisitions, including the privatization of public hospitals and the acquisition and construction of rehabilitation hospitals. Prior to this, Mr. Yuan worked at Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, where he completed numerous overseas M&A transactions involving Chinese companies. Mr. Yuan also serves as a member of the Chenghua District Political Consultative Conference in Chengdu City and has been recognized as one of the "Top 10 New Economic Leaders in Sichuan in 2017" and selected for the "Forbes China 30 Under 30" list in 2019. He graduated from Yale University in the United States and is currently pursuing a joint doctoral program in Healthcare Management from Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins University.
