General Guidelines

The Asia-Oceanian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, together with Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Chinese Non-Government Medical Institutions Association, are pleased to announce that the 8th Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine(AOCPRM 2023), in conjunction with the 2023 Annual Conference of Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Chinese Non-Government Medical Institutions Association(ACRMS-CNMIA) will be held in Chengdu, China on October 7-10, 2023.

 

The biannual conference is the leading forum for you to find the most relevant and cutting-edge information in the field of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine. We welcome worldwide scientists and researchers to share their most up-to-date findings at this conference. AOCPRM 2023 welcomes the submission of abstracts. Abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation and poster categories. The submission period will close on August 31, 2023, at 11:59 PM CST (China Standard Time) in Beijing.

General Guidelines

1. Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentations.

2. Abstracts must be submitted in English or Chinese. Chinese abstract submissions will be translated to English for blind review.

3. The Congress Research Committee, in collaboration with the International Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted based on blind review. They will respect the authors' preference but reserve the right to assign the category, whether oral or poster, and make the final decision. 

4. Abstracts can be re-edited and modfied until the submission deadline.

5. We welcome abstract submissions from all areas of rehabilitation medicine, with the following research designs, including:

    • Case Reports and Case Series

    • Observational Studies (Cohort and Case-Control Studies)

    • Diagnostic Studies

    • Randomized Controlled Trials

    • Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses

    • Economic Studies

    • Qualitative Studies

    • Clinical Practice Guidelines

    • Other research designs

6. Abstracts must be submitted via the website only. 

7. Only abstracts submitted via the online submission form will be sent to the Congress Research Committee, in collaboration with the International Scientific Committee for blind review. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

8. Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.

9. Please note that there are no limits on the number of abstracts which can be submitted, however, each individual will be selected to present a maximum of two presentations (either Oral or Poster presentation).

10. The Congress Research Committee, in collaboration with the International Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit all submitted abstracts for grammar, spelling and image resolution.

11. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Work submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that could be affected by the results of the study.

12. Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to the 8th Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine.

13. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your abstract has been received.

14. Only abstracts of presenting authors who have completed their registration by the deadline of registration will be scheduled for presentation.

15. The abstract of a scientific paper represents a concise, accurate and factual mini-version of the research. Submitted abstracts should not have identifiers of corresponding authors, institutions, and countries. They should be brief, and are limited to 250 words. For original articles, abstracts include the following sections: title, introduction including objectives, methods, results, discussion including conclusion, and keywords. For case reports, abstracts include the following sections: title, introduction (What is unique about this case and what does it add to the scientific literature?); the patient’s main symptoms and important clinical findings; the primary diagnoses; therapeutic interventions; outcomes; and conclusion (What are the “take-away” lessons from the case report?).

 

Accepted abstracts will be showcased in two ways:

 Scientific Paper Oral Presentations: Selected papers should convey high-quality, experimental research practice and will be chosen for both their intrinsic scientific merit and their educational value in illustrating the research process. Oral presenters must register and are physically present in the congress, to qualify and discuss their corresponding scholarly article in the research forum.
 
 Poster Presentations: Posters provide a platform for one-on-one, in-depth discussions. Presenting authors must register and are physically present in the congress, to qualify for the research forum. At specified times during the conference, poster presenters will engage in discussions during the question and answer part of the research forum with the interested attendees.
